How we build the directory
Lone Star Strides is a Texas running site: a statewide race calendar, a directory of specialty running stores, and gear guides. This page explains where the data comes from.
Running stores
Every store listing is built from the store's own official website. We record the page we checked and the date we checked it, and both appear on the listing. Addresses, phone numbers, hours, services, and brand lists are copied from that source. If the official site does not publish a detail, we leave it blank rather than fill it in from third-party directories.
Stores whose address we cannot confirm from an official source are kept out of the directory until we can. Listings are re-checked on a rolling basis. Descriptions are written by us and only restate details found on the source page.
Races
The race calendar is synced daily from RunSignup's public race listings for Texas. Dates, locations, and event distances are shown as the race director entered them. Registration links go to RunSignup and include an affiliate referral code; see our affiliate disclosure. Races hosted on other registration platforms are not yet included.
Corrections
If a store has moved, closed, or changed hours, or a race detail is wrong, email hello@lonestarstrides.com with a link to the official page and we'll verify and update it.
