Race 3 of the Waco Run Tour, benefitting CASA of McLennan County, at the Redwood Shelter in Cameron Park on October 24. Participants receive a dri-fit shirt and the Run Tour medal; it is rain or shine, with a switch to a virtual 5K in severe weather.

Cameron Park is the hub. The Redwood Shelter at 2300 Cameron Park Dr. hosts the Waco Run Tour color run, the Chupacabra Trail Run and the Waco Police Memorial Run, and the Zoo Stampede starts at Cameron Park Zoo.
Register early for the popular ones. The Zoo Stampede sold out two months ahead for the third straight year, according to its organizer. Turkey trot shirts are guaranteed only for early entries.
Plan around the heat. Waco’s big road and trail races cluster in the cooler months; the summer ones, like the June TriWaco, start early. Our zone 2 guide covers training through it.
