Picking a 5K in San Antonio
The Greenway is where San Antonio runs. The City of San Antonio runs approximately 105 miles of Howard W. Peak Greenway Trails, and the San Antonio RoadRunners’ Turkey Trot and marathon relay both start from The Rim trailhead on it. December has the marathon 5K. The San Antonio Marathon’s SATX 5K is Friday night, December 4, 2026, two days before the marathon and half. Our San Antonio Marathon guide has the details.
Fall through spring is the season. Halloween runs, turkey trots and holiday 5Ks fill October to December, and Fiesta brings the Fiesta Mission Run in April.
