Heroes Among Us 5k Run/Walk

The Heroes Among Us 5K Run/Walk is a community event hosted by the Hillsboro Department of Public Safety to celebrate the everyday heroes who make a difference in our lives, including police officers, firefighters, nurses, teachers, moms, dads, and children.

This family-friendly event serves as a fundraiser for the Shop With A Hero Program, helping provide Christmas gifts and unforgettable holiday experiences for local children and families in need. The Heroes Among Us 5K is a fundraiser benefiting the Hillsboro Department of Public Safety's Shop With A Hero Program. Through this program, HDPS personnel partner with local children during the Christmas season and take them shopping for gifts, clothing, and other necessities. The program helps families who may need a little extra support while creating positive relationships between first responders and the youth in our community. Every registration helps make Christmas brighter for a local child. Each participant will receive a race bib, Dri-Fit shirt, and medal
