"It's Time to Step Into Action, Speak Out, and Make a Difference" — a community 5K/Walk raising awareness and funds against human trafficking. Every step supports Plant A Seed's work to fight exploitation.

Our Mission: Awareness. Education. Prevention.

The Race Against Human Trafficking is more than a race. It is an opportunity to bring our community together, learn, and move into action.
Education is at the heart of this event. Human trafficking does not always look the way it is portrayed in movies or television. Through the race, we connect participants with credible information, local organizations, and resources to better understand trafficking, recognize warning signs, know where to seek help, and continue these conversations beyond race day.
We also want to empower parents and caregivers to have age-appropriate conversations with young people about safety, healthy relationships, boundaries, online interactions, and asking for help.
Our goal is not to create fear. It is to create awareness, build knowledge, strengthen connections, and empower action.
Awareness starts the conversation. Education builds understanding. Prevention moves us into action.
Beneficiary: A portion of race proceeds will be donated to United Way of El Paso County, which will allocate the funds to organizations focused on anti-trafficking education and direct services for victims and survivors.

Giveaways

• Free event T-shirt for the first 200 registered participants.
• Finisher medal for the first 200 participants to complete the run/walk.

Awards

• Trophies: Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female overall finishers (5K).
• Age group awards (both male & female): 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Lollipop Kids Run

• Fun, beginner-friendly race for children 10 & under — lollipop prize at the finish.
• Same-day sign-up only: 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM at the venue (no pre-registration).

Packet Pickup / Very Late Registration

Dates and locations have not been set yet for the 2027 event — to be confirmed.

Course

Course will run through Downtown El Paso, TX. Updated course map to be finalized for the new route.

Bibs

• Every participant is assigned a bib; it must be worn on the front, outside of clothing, unfolded/uncrimped, so timing cameras can read it.

Refunds & Transfers

• No refunds on entry fees. Fees can be transferred to another available Plant A Seed race for a transfer fee.
• Race insurance can only be purchased at the time of registration — recommend for participants who might not be able to attend.
