The Fountain 5K Run & Walk

We are excited to announce the 17th Annual Fountain 5K Run/Walk for the Terrell community. The event will be held Saturday, April 24, 2027. The 3.2-mile scenic neighborhood route will showcase the heritage and charm of our historic city as participants pass historic homes built at the turn of the century. Whether you run or walk, we hope that you will make plans to join us! We will have the event rain or shine.

The Fountain 5K was exclusively designed to benefit the Volunteer Services Council of Terrell State Hospital. Since 1952, the Volunteer Services Council has worked tirelessly to obtain goods, services, and monetary donations and provide personal attention for the benefit of the hospital’s patients—above and beyond the care and treatment provided by Terrell State Hospital. The continuation of this great work is largely dependent on friends like you. Your support of the Fountain 5K will allow the Volunteer Services Council to continue to make great things happen.

Sign up early to ensure you receive a t-shirt of the desired size!

Runners registered by the end of the day on April 8th are guaranteed a t-shirt of the desired/ ordered sizes. T-shirts order must be ordered on April 9th, your t-shirts must be printed and shipped. After we place our order to the printing company, we can only guess what sizes might runners sign up for. If you love fun race t-shirts - sign up now and have yours guaranteed!

Awards

AWARDS: Award presentations begin promptly after last finisher, with awards to 1st Overall Male and Female, and 1st,
2nd, and 3rd Male and Female in the below age groups.

AGE GROUPS: Awards will be given to top 3 in each category: 8 and under, 9-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+ over.

To be eligible for an award, you must wear a timing tag.
