About Bold Like Britt 5K
FIVE YEARS. FIVE YEARS OF SURVIVAL, STRENGTH, AND TURNING PAIN INTO PURPOSE!
Let’s kick off 2027 BIG! Join us at Ranch Camp in the Santa Rita Neighborhood in Liberty Hill, Texas, as we celebrate a milestone that once felt impossible to imagine: FIVE YEARS since Britt’s life changed forever. We’re honoring this journey the best way we know how—with movement, gratitude, community, and a mission that matters. Whether you join us for the 1-mile walk or lace up for the 5K, every step tells a story of resilience, hope, and the power of choosing to keep moving forward.
On January 4, 2022, Britt was hit head-on by a drunk driver. In an instant, her world—and the world of everyone who loves her—was changed forever. Multiple broken bones, abdominal trauma, a traumatic brain injury, mini strokes, and five days in a coma were just the beginning of a long, uncertain road to recovery. Since that day, Britt has endured ten surgeries, fought through countless challenges, and worked incredibly hard to relearn how to walk—and eventually run again.
And now, FIVE YEARS LATER, SHE’S STILL RUNNING!
Running has always been a part of who Britt is, but today, every mile means so much more. Every step is a reminder of what she's overcome, the life she fought so hard to reclaim, and the countless little miracles that have brought her to this moment. This race is about so much more than a finish line. It's about celebrating how far she's come, honoring the life she was given a second chance to live, and turning one family's unimaginable pain into a purpose that can help save others.
Five years later, we're still healing. We're still fighting. And we're more determined than ever to make a difference.
By joining us, you're doing more than walking or running. You're standing with survivors, supporting prevention and awareness, and helping us share a message that could change someone's life. You're helping us fight for a future where fewer families have to experience the heartbreak, trauma, and lifelong consequences of impaired driving.
We can't change what happened to our family on January 4, 2022. But we CAN choose what we do with the five years we've been given since. And we're choosing to make every single step count.
