About Runfield Rewind - A Mini Backyard Ultra
Runfield Rewind: 5K Every Hour. 24 Hours.
One more lap? Yeah, you’ve got one more lap.
Meet Runfield Rewind, the first-ever backyard-style finale to the Runfield Texas Race Series. The idea is simple: a new 5K starts every hour for 24 hours. Come run your first 5K, chase a personal distance record, or stick around for all 24 laps—nearly 75 miles. However far you go, you’ll have a crew cheering you on.
Registration is free. The miles have a mission. Every participant must secure at least one donor pledging at least $1 per lap completed, with proceeds supporting Outsiders Anonymous, a veteran-focused nonprofit serving Hays County. That’s $1 for one lap or $24 for all 24. Recruit your friends and family, give them a reason to keep yelling “one more,” and turn your questionable running decisions into something good for our community.
And because this is Runfield Rewind, we’re bringing back the shirts and medals left over from past series races. Every runner gets a Runfield shirt and medal. Wrong distance on your medal? We’ve got Sharpies. Problem solved.
Expect a fully paved, moderately hilly course and a laid-back neighborhood backyard vibe. We’ll provide food, snacks, and drinks throughout the 24 hours, and we ask every participant to bring something to share at the HQ refuel station. Tents are welcome. So are your friends, family, and as many spectators as you can convince to spend their day—or night—watching people run in circles.
This is grassroots racing with good people, recycled swag, and plenty of encouragement. It’s going to be hella fun and totally rad.
Come run with us. Push yourself. Find your limits. Do some good along the way.
